Helping rescue dachshunds reach their new homes!

1. Who are we?

A. Let me first tell you who we are not. We are not a rescue group. We do not have the ability to "place" dachshunds with new owners. We strickly transport RESCUE dachshunds from point A to point B when point B is the end adopting owner.

2. Will we transport other types of dogs or cats?

A. No we will not. This group was organized to help rescue dachshunds and dachshund mix dogs. This is a volunteer organization and transporters are dedicated to the rescue of this breed.

3. What is required of the new owner for a transport to be made?

A. The new owner is responsible to fund a travel crate, leash, collar, current certificate of health and any food needed during transportation.

4. Is there a charge for our travel expenses during a transportation?

A. No, this is a total volunteer organization.

5. If I want to adopt a dachshund rescue from a rescue page what do I do?

A. Go back to the home page and follow the link to the appropriate form. There you will be asked specifics on the dog you are adopting and also about yourself.

6. How often do you transport Dachshunds?

A. We transport them as the need arises - but we don't organize more than one transportation per week. We are a fully volunteer organization and as such our coordinators do not have the time available to coordinate more than one transportation per week. Often a coordinator will put in more than 60 hours setting up just one transportation!
